Hello Final 5!!!
This week you need to submit a photo to represent a product from Loreal and here are the photos
Yoona: Thank you Ayumi. At first I don't like the photo. It felt awkward especially the smile but then I really like the advertisement version. You looked commercial and your skin is flawless. This is going to be a tough week.
Ayu: The wonders of cropping, right? Skin looks great, and it makes a very commercial and successful advertisement.
Jensen: Very commercial, very cute. Quality a bit grainy but otherwise, pretty good photo for this theme.
Emmy: Like the others, I actually really wasn't fond of the root picture, but I think once it's actually placed into the advertisement it works pretty well. The only issue I'd have is that your eyes really are the star of the show here, and if I didn't know what the product was I'd be inclined to think it was a mascara ad. Overall, though, very good!
Yoona: I love how soft your expression this week. Your skin is flawless. I don't like the hand on your neck but this is still gorgeous to me. I'm not looking forward to rank this week
Ayu: Don't particularly like the hand, or the mouth. Cropping and balancing the colour did the picture wonders, and made it a much better advertisement, I might add.
Jensen: I don't mind the hand and mouth, it's the eyes that kind of threw me off. But otherwise, this is a good picture
Emmy: This is really good! I think there's something off-putting about the eyes, but overall it's a very strong submission. Nice work!
Yoona: Great angle, I love how flawless your skin in this photo. The mouth looked a little bit weird but in a sexy way. I think this is great.. Good luck.
Ayu: I'm not sure if it's a quality issue in this picture, because it's not as crisp as what I'm used to seeing from you. I think it might come down to the mascara looking really clumpy here, and although this is an advertisement for foundation, we still want l'Oréal's other products looking good in the picture too.
Jensen: In your case, I hate the mouth. But your skin looks nice and the angle is nice to show that off.
Emmy: The quality's a bit off, and your eyes are magnificent almost to the point of distraction, but overall I think it's a great shot. I could definitely see this as a foundation ad!
Yoona: Your skin is flawless. Same as Kim, not a fan of your hand cause I found it distracting but this is gorgeous. I still don't have any idea on how I'm going to rank this week so good luck
Ayu: I flipped the image over so it more-or-less matched the other pictures this round. Probably better as a lipstick advertisement, but the skin is still looking great.
Jensen: Your skin is nice, the lipstick is too much but otherwise, this is a nice shot.
Emmy: Honestly, I think this is perfect. The only thing you could possibly have done to make this better would be to color-swap the lips in Photoshop, but other than that I think this completely nails what we were going for. Great work!
Yoona: Another hand... At least yours wasn't as distracted as the other 2. You're unique and I'm really glad you showed that in your photo. I don't like the lines on the side of your mouth but your photo is definitely the most memorable one for me.
Ayu: It's not so much the cheek lines as it is the jowls and the angle. Yes, those jowls definitely are not something you want to see in a make up advertisement. Unfortunately, you're coming off as looking older than you should.
Jensen: In my opinion, you're lucky you have those reward points because this photo is hideous for this theme. The make up is way too heavy and just doesn't look good at all.
Emmy: The angle is unflattering, that's for sure. I think there's a bit too much else going on in the photo to really sell this as a skin ad, my gaze is more immediately drawn... well, just about everywhere else, to be honest. It's a good try, but I don't think it's quite as good as we know you're capable of.
